New pricing and donation policy

We'd like to introduce our new pricing policy effective today and for all tours currently booked. Instead of the previous rate of KES 2000, the tour has been reduced to a suggested donation of only KES 500 per person. The reduced rate comes from eliminating administration costs and the fact that we will no longer manage cash donations.

We've implemented this change to better maintain accountability and have our visitors choose (rather than us choosing) firsthand how their support is used and to which initiatives it is directed. We're moving away from cash based support for the organizations that we visit, and encourage our visitors to support in the following ways:

• Aside from the tour donation, please avoid support through cash – instead support the Kibera initiatives you visit through tangible goods such as food, school supplies or through the purchase of goods and services. This will ensure that the intent of your support is realized immediately.
